Welcome Message from the Director

We are delighted that, in this UN Decade of Sustainable Transport, we are able to engage with you through our MSc in Transport Management and Leadership and our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes on a range of strategic policy topics. We are committed to the development of Africa through our educational programmes, industry internships, and industry-focused applied research and co-development.

This decade promises to be an exciting one, with the advancement of AI, big data, resilience, digital twins, and gender and inclusion all shaping how we decarbonise transport and transition away from the internal combustion engine (ICE). At the same time, we remain mindful that Africa does not yet have the basic data infrastructure and ecosystem that this transition will require. One of our key strategies is therefore to build strong partnerships with African institutions and the diaspora. Our hybrid MSc curriculum reflects this, featuring guest lecturers from across the African continent and from industry.

We look forward to working with you as we shape the future of transport leadership on the continent.
